Young musicians offer Bishop Gadsden recital

Violinist Zeyu Victor Li and pianist Micah McLaurin, both students studying at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, will offer an hour-long recital in the Bishop Gadsden Chapel at 3 p.m. today. McLaurin is a Charleston native and former student of the Charleston Academy of Music.

The performance is free and open to the public, though donations are welcome.

McLaurin and Li attend one of the most prestigious music conservatories in the world, and both have been pronounced by listeners and critics as important up-and-coming young talents.

Bishop Gadsden Chapel is located on Bishop Gadsden Way at Camp Road on James Island.
