The Lowcountry may see a slight chance of snow this weekend, the National Weather Service reports.

On Saturday, cold air rushing toward the Lowcountry from an approaching cold front will create conditions where snow is possible from roughly 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday, meteorologist Pete Mohlin said.

The likelihood of snow isn’t great,“but there is a chance, which is somewhat unusual for this area,” Mohlin said.

Today, patchy fog is expected in the morning with sunny skies in the afternoon, the Weather Service reports.

Highs will be in the mid 60s with lows about 40.

West winds will be from 5 to 10 mph, according to the Weather Service.
