The man who robbed a Summerville bank on Tuesday also robbed a bank in West Columbia this month, police say.
The unidentified suspect robbed a BB&T bank Jan. 15, Summerville Police Capt. Jon Rogers said. That bank contacted Summerville police after surveillance images of the suspect were released, Rogers said.
On Tuesday, a man walked into the First Citizens Bank at 1319 N. Main St. about 2:50 p.m. and demanded money, Rogers said.
The man is described as a white, 30-40 years old, about 250 pounds and about 6 feet tall. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 851-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
