A California family's housecat named "Tara" has become an Internet sensation this week after rushing to the aid of an autistic 4-year-old boy that was being attacked by a dog.
The video, originally posted to YouTube Tuesday night by the boys's father, Roger Triantafilo, has racked up more than 7 million hits. The video was captured captured by security cameras at the family's home and edited by Triantafilo, according to a story in at BakersfieldCalifornian.com.
The family, as well as the cat, have appeared on "Good Morning America," on TMZ, and other national news programs.
